Dark Armor Blacks Out the Big One
The 2027 Armada adds a Dark Armor package, which is the most visible change to Nissan's full-size SUV this year. It brings a panoramic moonroof, black 20-inch wheels, black leatherette seats, black emblems and badges, a darkened grille and fascia and dark interior accents.
The grade structure runs SL, Platinum, PRO-4X, NISMO and Platinum Reserve. The 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 makes 425 horsepower and 516 lb-ft in the standard grades, and the NISMO steps up to 460 horsepower on premium fuel. All of it goes through a 9-speed automatic with paddle shifters.

Interior and Technology
A 14.3-Inch Display and Paddle Shifters
SL grades get a 12.3-inch display, and Platinum and above move to a 14.3-inch screen. The 9-speed automatic comes with paddle shifters across the range, which is more useful than it sounds when you are engine-braking a loaded trailer down from Chinook Pass.
Standard driver assistance includes Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection. On a vehicle this size and weight, forward collision warning is not a luxury item, and neither are the camera systems that make parking it in a Tacoma garage possible.
